New York - Day 4

I know this is another picture of a building...however, this is a picture of a castle that use to be somebody's home. It is located on the lake and has since been made into a restaurant. I had dinner in the main dinning hall and had apple pie for dessert. The next picture is of the front of the New York Wine and Culinary Institute of New York. Mommy would like this place. This has several kitchens and is used as a studio on the food network that we watch.

The last picture is of a deer that is outside of our hotel. Painted on the side of the deer are horses in a race. Behind our hotel is a lake (one of the "finger lakes").

We had a great meeting today. Lots of fun apple issues that we discussed. I leave late tomorrow and will be home by 1:30 am. See you tomorrow/Friday morning.

Day 3 - NY

Greetings everyone. Not much to report today. Lots of meetings and apple updates. Today we kicked off the morning with an US apple production update. However, after the meetings and lunch, I am catching up on work and waiting to travel to Geneva, NY.

This picture is of the famous armory in downtown Syracuse. It is one of the historical buildings in the city.

Hope all is well!

NY - Day 2

Today was a full day. We kicked off the apple seminar on new technologies and varieties that are being developed in order to produce a better tasting apple for consumers.

After the first part of the seminar and dinner, we went and toured the city. These pictures are of the Syracuse campus. The big building is the "Orange Men" indoor football stadium. This stadium also converts into a basketball facility. The second picture is some of the old structures that make up the campus. This is a very pretty college.

I hope all is well. Good luck with your play Regan!

God Bless,

Ottster!

NEW YORK - Day 1

I arrived in Syracuse, New York. It is a very pretty area, with lots of trees, lakes and rivers. Not much of happened today, just began the day at 4:30, arrived at the airport at 5:10 am and arrived in New York at 7:00 pm (est). It was a day of riding around on an airplane followed by waiting in line to catch the next one!

Tomorrow, I will attend an apple meeting where several states get together on the east coast and discuss their upcoming apple season. It will be fun to meet several of the east coast apple growers while getting an idea of what their crop looks like.

This picture is of the Syracuse airport. Inside the lobby area, there is a museum all about airplanes.

Until tomorrow...God Bless,

Ottster!

YEAR ONE ALMOST DONE

Yesterday, I arrived in Cal Poly Pomona. Cal Poly is one of four campuses that host our California Ag Leadership school. At the end of this seminar, I will have completed one of two years. This means, this time next year, the program is over and I graduate!

Yesterday, we met up with the senior class (36). They are graduating tomorrow. To congratulate them, we had dinner with their class and then sang karaoke. Ottster sang YMCA, I walk the Line and Sweet Home Alabama. There was dancing too.

Tonight, our class (37) and 36 will be going to the theater. We will be watching a play called The Constant Wife. I have know idea what the play is about. It should be interesting.

Tomorrow I come home. I can't wait to see everyone. Keep up the good work at swimming and I look forward to some cookies at home!

God Bless,

Ottster
